Have you ever joined chatroulette?

Let's say I'm a 23-year-old guy who's really into sports. And I join a chat room with a bunch of other guys. And we start playing a game called, you know, Call of Duty. And we start talking smack. Like right away, he does this bizarre thing where he says, You know what? I don't want to be here any more. I'm leaving. And he jogs off. I'm not sure what happened. I'm really frustrated. I've given it 30 minutes. I realize I've wasted my time, but ... So I go back and continue on. And he jogs off again. I'm not sure what happened. I'm about to leave again when this guy comes back and says, You know what? I don't want to be around you anymore. I'm leaving. And he jogs off again. I'm not sure what's going on. So I go back and continue on. And he comes back and says, I'm leaving. And he jogs off again. I'm not sure what to say. He just starts typing. And I'm like ... What are you doing? Are you trying to take my screencap? Are you serious? Are you serious? Are you serious? So I'm like, What are you talking about? Stop it. So he goes on for another 20 minutes, just typing. And I'm just typing, you know, All right, good night. Night. Good night. Night. Good night. Night. Night. Night. Night. Night. Night. Night. Night. Night. Night. Thank you. I don't know if that's the most human thing anybody's ever said, but it's true. I don't know if that's the most human thing anybody's ever said, but it's true.

You know, I think, you know, if you're -- if you're in a position of power and you're feeling particularly down and you need to vent that --

You know, I think --

you know, I think --

you know, we -- we can turn that on and off. I mean, anything that's going on in the world, anything that's out there that's distressing, that's distressing enough to inspire people to speak up, then that's a very powerful trigger for others to step forward. But it's a very small trigger.

The danger with chatroulette is that it's hard to know what's real and what's not. It doesn't tell you what counts
